Three “Cool” Bathroom Tile Trends

Last Updated On

The old saying goes that  “pretty is as pretty does” but perhaps you can also say “stylish is as stylish does”. However, talking about having style in your interior design plans is one thing and having the courage to express your own style is quite another. To that end, let’s discuss three “cool” bathroom tile trends that might work for you! The well-respected freelance writer Douglas Trattner recently composed a piece for HGTV.com entitled Hip Bathroom Tile Trends and Styles. So here is what Mr.Trattner has to say about a few of today’s latest bathroom tile trends.

Glass Bathroom Tile Trends

Firstly, we have glass. The HGTV.com post said that:

“with a broad color palette, and finishes ranging from glossy to flat, glass tiles can fit most design schemes. When used sparingly, vivid glass tiles can provide exciting visual highlights. Conversely, when covering an entire bathroom wall, glass tile can create a luxurious spa-like atmosphere”.

Here at Marble Systems we wholeheartedly agree, as you can see at the top of this post, with an image from our newly introduced Coastal Collection. This finely interlocking glass series is available in both matte and gloss finishes.

Secondly, we have metal tiles. They are described as being tiles “that complement either traditional or contemporary bathrooms” and the “most obvious application for the metal wall tile are the backsplash”. This is again according to Mr.Trattner and our Palladium Collection echoes these sentiments perfectly. Silver, Bronze, and Copper from that series are shown above in their brushed finish.

Create A Spa Effect With Diana Royal

Thirdly, create a spa effect. Also via HGTV.com, Amy Azzarito suggests that when “presented with the challenge of a large bathroom” why not try to “create a spa-like effect”. This is a great idea, and you can see that it is perfectly realized by our Diana Royal as displayed in the image below.

So, in the end, it is all about individual creativity and feeling free enough to express yourself in a personal space like the bath area. We have gone through three “cool” bathroom tile trends and that is of course limited by this medium. So why not explore a bit more in one of the Marble Systems showrooms across America. It will be a cool experience!
