ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

Going Green

As manufacturers and designers continue to search for new ways to meet the growing need for eco-minded materials, designing a space with an environmentally focused theme is easier than ever. Therefore, here at Marble Systems, we want to make a powerful environmental commitment.

Fitting these products into ideal design schemes, however, is quite challenging for the discerning consumer. We combined over 30 years of experience with impeccable taste to create their newest creation: The Green Collection.

An eco-friendly line devoted to modern conservation and stylish responsibility, the collection was created by chance in one of the company’s vast warehouses. Rather than destroying remaining bits of natural stone from cut tiles, craftsmen carefully recovered pieces and then creatively used them in new designs. Therefore, each piece is unique and distinctive.

Comprised of five lines––Slides Mosaics, Ashlar Pattern, Taco Mosaics, Exposure Mosaics, and Talya––The Green Collection’s unique aesthetics showcase focal points in kitchens and bathrooms. It promotes responsible awareness without compromising the integrity of the designer’s style statement.

Turning Scraps into Style

As manufacturers and designers all over the world search for new ways to help the environment, designing a space with an eco-friendly theme has never been easier. Water-based paints or fabric made from organic materials are overflowing the shelves of popular home retailers as consumers acknowledge the need for change. But when it comes to home renovation, there aren’t many options for the discerning consumer who wants to create an eco-friendly space without settling on just any design theme.

We carefully thought about what they could do to help the environment. First, we looked at our factories and the production that goes into cutting gigantic slabs of marble, travertine and granite into neat tiles. What we found was quite a bit left behind. Instead of throwing away pieces of travertine remaining from cut tiles, we carefully recovered and creatively used the many shapes in new designs, devoting an entire line to this newfound art.

“When we discovered that these pieces we had so often disposed of in the past were quite valuable and artistic, we knew we had just stumbled upon a great way to reuse our materials as well as lessen our amount of waste,” said CEO Munir Turunc. “Our customers still receive a high-quality product as well as a part of something environmentally sound that we can all be proud of.”

The Talya Collection is as stylistically bold as it is environmentally conscious. A refined study of designs using marble and stone, it intertwines lacework and modern geometries.

Its unique aesthetics showcase focal points in kitchens and bathrooms, promoting responsible awareness without compromising the integrity of the designer’s style statement. Blending ecologically gentle materials with distinctive patterns, the collection offers an endless array of design and expressions of individuality, all with a little help from some eco-minded leftovers. Helping the planet never looked so good.
