The French do many things right. To name but a few: consider for a moment Champagne, the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Monet, Matisse, the Louvre, Avenue des Champs-Élysées, etc., etc. Who can possibly argue with French contributions to art, architecture, gastronomy, political thought, and even revolution. Naturally, at the epicenter of all this lies Paris. The eternal city , of which Ernest Hemingway famously said in A Moveable Feast, “If you are lucky enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a moveable feast.” We would like to add, for the purposes of today’s post, French Limestone Tiles, as something that the French do very correctly.
According to geology.com, limestone is sedimentary rock composed primarily of calcium carbonate. The use of limestone as a building material dates back centuries.
